August 2004 GlobalTel announces the formation of GlobalTel IP Inc., a high quality Voice Over IP service provider with wholesale A to Z terminations, hosted platform solutions, integrated enhanced messaging services and interoperability solutions for first responders.

September 2006 GlobalTel announces the acquisition of the American Roaming Network from Verisign, Inc., the only unregistered roaming service for mobile phone carriers in the U.S. with agreements with Sprint, Cingular, Bellsouth, AT&T, AllTel and many other mobile carriers.

January 2007 GlobalTel acquires the business and switching assets of BestNetCall.com The BestNetCall operation was consolidated from Toronto, CA into GlobalTel's Miami switching center on February 1, 2007.

Set up your Dial Up Networking configuration! · Click on the Start Button · Go to Programs · Go to Accessories · Go to Dial Up Networking Click on the New Button CREATE a name the new phonebook entry: “GlobalTel Dial Up ” Click Next Click on the box to the left of “I am calling the Internet ” Enter your Dial Direct Number then six commas (to create a delay) then your enter your ACCOUNT CODE then four more commas (,,,,) then 999#. Each comma is equal to a pause of a half second. The quantity of seconds necessary to connect to the GlobalTel system may vary from different locations so you may need to add more or less commas as necessary to make your connection. Here is one recommended example if dialing from the US: 18004302331 +,,,,,, + Account Code + ,,,, +999 + # Click Next Click Finish Click Dial Your modem should now dial into the GlobalTel System, automatically enter your account code and connect to the Internet Service provider. You will be asked to provide a USER NAME and PASSWORD . USER NAME: gtelwww PASSWORD: gtelwww To send e-mail you will have to change your outgoing mail server setting in your e-mail application’s account settings.
